Award-winning Snow Clearing

We offer Commercial and Residential Snow Clearing in the East End of St. John’s.

Jane Morgan
I can’t say enough nice things. Our lawn tractor broke down, and we waited for repairs. Too Long. When we called Snow and Mow, the grass was more than knee deep. They gave us a quote quickly. They could have charged a premium, but didn’t. Completed the work, and then some. They brought the right equipment to do a big, tough job on time, for a fair price. We couldn’t have asked for more. We will be a repeat customer.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Commercial contracts are treated as our number one priority, with multiple visits throughout weather events to ensure your business can continue to operate effectively and safely.

These contracts are maintained with our ‘curb-to-curb status,” keeping extra pushbacks and removals to a bare minimum for our clients. Safety and parking space optimization are our number one concerns for our commercial clients.

Commercial contracts are given salt bins for their entrances which will be filled and maintained by our crews and is open to access to anyone at the building.

We clear your driveway and walkway to your main entrance whenever it snows. We begin making our rounds when the snow has accumulated to one inch or more. Rest assured; your driveway will be cleared by your specified out time to allow you to get to work without any delays. When snow continues to fall, your first visit will be aimed only at getting you out for the day, and a follow-up visit will be made to perfect all areas later.

Our goal is for you to have the best-looking driveway in your neighbourhood. All driveways are cleared edge to edge and scraped down to the pavement. Walkways and staircases will be cleared to full width. Our priority customers pay a set monthly fee for unlimited visits throughout the month.

By-the-plow customers are charged per visit based on the amount of snow. Generally, prices range from $30-$80 per visit. “By-the-plow” contracts are second priority to our “Priority” snow clearing contracts, who pay a flat monthly fee. Once all priority customers are addressed, we begin visiting our “By-the-plow” customers.

The main difference with this contract is we are unable to offer a specific out time for the mornings, and visit frequency may be delayed during large snowfall events. Snow clearing will be completed within 24 hours of the snowfall.

Generally, we try to let most of the snow accumulate before clearing our by-the-plow contracts.

At the beginning of each season, your snow plow driver and shoveller(s) will drive the route and place markers near any potential hazards or areas of concern.

We take full responsibility for any damages we cause and create a spring repair list for anything needing to be addressed. If you notice any damages (turf damage, etc.), you can notify us, and we will be sure it is promptly addressed in the spring. Unfortunately, in Newfoundland, we experience many thaws, which cause the ground to become soft. Minor turf damage can be expected; however, our trained lawn care technicians will address any damage in the spring with premium grass seed and/or sod. It may even look better than it ever did following a repair.
